Susan Zaring is a floral and interior designer based in Marin County. She started her career in horticulture, designing and maintaining gardens where she spent many years working and traveling the world on numerous private gardens and organic farms.
Looking to grow and enhance her career, Susan moved to New York to pursue interior design where she graduated from Parsons School of Design. She worked for such notable architectural design firms as Studio Sofield and Peter Marino Architect, designing luxury interiors and award-winning commercial projects. She had the opportunity to work on projects all over the world from Tom Ford, Gucci, Tribeca Grand Hotel, Chanel, Ermenegildo Zegna, Christian Dior and numerous luxury residential homes.
While New York solidified her place in the design world, she relocated to Northern California to start her own creative endeavor combining her appreciation for both florals and interiors. Susan’s expertise is applied to a range of services, from home and garden to floral design and styling. From designing a tablescape or decorating a room, every project evokes restraint and an artistry that is thoughtful and balanced.
Her goal as a designer is to create beautiful moments in every floral arrangement or space she designs and to enrich her clients live by creating thoughtful, yet personal reflections of their style. Susan’s professional manner is a reflection of her greater disposition, encapsulating seamless consideration for functionally elegant yet edgy design and her desire to build lasting relationships with her clients and collaborating artists.
In her spare time, Susan practices photography taking inspiration from dutch still life and her time spent in nature.
